There's an innocence, a fluidity to Larry Yes' quivering vocals. He seems to occupy the same off-kilter realm of Raccoon-era Michael Hurley (not in sound but in spirit) and employs subtle texturing and psychedelic flourishes to surprising effect. His lyrics are hopeful and childlike, yet weighted with the existential melancholy of a grown man lost in an overwhelming world.

It's been a quiet winter at Discobolus HQ, but the days are getting longer and when the shadows on the sundials are just right, and the sap begins to run, the newest music in our hearts, tongues, and fingers will begin to make it's journey thou-ward.

We fire up the new studio in April, rolling tape till we're done, and in July the gigging returns with shows throughout New Mexico, and moving on to points west in August. Look for Larry Yes this March at South By Southwest, and Chris Schoen in Chicago this summer.

Till then, keep your feet dry and your hearts warm.
